Edina Community Channel 16 nominated for three Emmy Awards
Edina, Minn., Aug. 23, 2010 – Edina Community Channel 16 (EDINA 16) has been
nominated for three Emmys by the Upper Midwest Chapter of the National
Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.
The 2010 Emmy nominees were
announced Saturday, Aug. 21. “Edina Girl,” two spots produced for the Park &
Recreation Department, was nominated in the “PSA Campaign” category.
“Agenda: Edina” was nominated in the “Community/Cable/Public Access –
Newscast” category. “Feed Haiti,” a news story by Marty Doll for “Agenda:
Edina,” was nominated in the “Community/Cable/Public Access – Single
Story/Feature/Segment” category.
“It is a tremendous honor to be
nominated for an Emmy,” said Communications & Marketing Director Jennifer
Bennerotte. “We are proud to consistently produce the quality of work that
not only catches the eye and interest of our residents and businesses, but
professionals in the industry.”
Entries made to the Upper Midwest
Chapter were judged by panels assembled by other National Academy of
Television Arts and Sciences Chapters. These judging panels are comprised of
no fewer than five judges with no more than three of the judges employed by
the same station or company. There may be one award, more than one award or
no award given in each category.
The Emmy Awards will be presented
Saturday, Sept. 25, at Pantages Theater in Minneapolis. For more
