PARK & RECREATION DEPARTMENT
SEASONAL/PART-TIME ICE RINK SUPERVISOR

Outgoing, independent person(s) needed to assist with on-site supervision of outdoor ice rinks. This temporary seasonal position includes mostly evenings, holiday and weekend day/evening hours. Job is dependent on the winter weather conditions. Supervision experience preferred.

Dates: Mid December – February based on the weather

Pay: $12.22 - $14.56 per hour based on experience

Hours per week: Flexible - up to 28 hours per week.

Ice Rink Hours of Operation:
Monday – Friday: 4 - 9:30 p.m.
Saturday: 9 a.m. – 9:30 p.m.
Sunday: 1 – 8 p.m.

Holiday Hours:
December 20 - January 4:  Monday - Friday, noon - 9:30 p.m.

Christmas Eve: noon - 4 p.m.
Christmas Day: Closed
New Year's Eve: Noon - 4 p.m.
New Year's Day: Noon – 9:30 p.m.
School Holidays: Noon - 9:30 p.m.

 Requirements / Qualifications:
*Must be available to work nights and weekends.
*Must have a reliable car and a valid driver’s license.
*Must have good communication skills.
*Must have good public relation skills.
*Must have good organizational skills.
*Must be able to work as part of a team.
*Must be responsible and reliable.
*First aid/CPR certified is preferred, but not mandatory.
*Must have a genuine interest and enthusiasm in working with the public.

Responsibilities:
*Work directly with the Recreation Supervisor.
*In charge of timecards and other paper work.
*Oversee the daily duties of the ice rink attendants.
*Take photos for Park & Recreation Insider.
*Help with staff evaluations.
*Assist with distributing publicity materials.
*Help implement the Family Night Out program.
*Distribute needed supplies to the sites
