CITY OF EDINA
PARK & RECREATION DEPARTMENT
SEASONAL/PART-TIME ICE RINK ATTENDANT

Dates: Dec. 19, 2008 - As long as ice conditions permit opening

Pay: $8.48 per hour

Hours per week: Approximately 15 - 25 hours minimum

Ice Rink Hours of Operation:
Monday - Friday: 4 - 9:30 p.m.
Saturday: 9 a.m. - 9:30 p.m.
Sunday: 1 - 8 p.m.

Holiday Hours:
December 20 - January 4:  Monday - Friday, noon - 9:30 p.m.

Christmas Eve: noon - 4 p.m.
Christmas Day: Closed
New Year's Eve: Noon - 4 p.m.
New Year's Day: Noon - 9:30 p.m.
School Holidays: Noon - 9:30 p.m.
(Jan. 19, Feb. 13, 19)

Preseason Staff Meeting:

Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2008; 6 – 8 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall

Duties & Expectations

1. Will be responsible for the welfare of skaters and the property under your supervision.
2. Must ensure a safe environment on the rinks at all times.
3. Must be exceptionally helpful to adults and young children.
4. Must be responsible for handling and reporting all accidents.
5. Must keep the warming house neat and clean at all times. The warming house's appearance is a direct reflection of you and the City of Edina.
6. Must be responsible for implementing and enforcing the rink rules.
7. Must have good leadership and decision-making skills.
8. Must be punctual for all work shifts. Work when assigned, do not leave when working.
9. Must wear your red rink attendant jacket while on duty.
10. Must have a genuine interest and enthusiasm in working with the public.
