The Greater Southdale Area Land Use and Transportation Study began in
August 2004. Over the course of the study, the consulting team drew on
input from a wide range of sources to understand the issues and
opportunities facing the Greater Southdale Area. The planning process
included:
Detailed investigations into land use, transportation,
market, and economic factors that will influence future development in the
Area.
Two workshops with the Edina residents.
A series of workshops with Technical and Community Advisory
Committees.
Two workshops with members of the City Council, Planning
Commission and Transportation Commission.
“Futures” workshop.
One-on-one interviews with key stakeholders.
These investigations have led to the creation of a
draft land use concept for the Greater Southdale Area.
